Fire & Ice
The more I garden, the more I am drawn to perennials with orange blooms. Bold and nearly flourescent, these 'Orange Pixie' Asiatic lilies are in full swing throughout the month of June. Planted next to blue-flowered salvia and penstemon, the complementary orange and blue hues appear to vibrate.
Here, the contrasting vibrancy is created by developing the background with bits of blue appearing between the clustered blooms.
