Great Egret
Although we live in the desert of Washington, there is an abundance of water in the area's three major rivers. At the delta where the Yakima River flows into the Columbia River, marvelous bird sightings are an everyday treat. This Great Egret snapped up a fish from the shallows just as my husband snapped the photo.
